Happy Birthday To My Husband!

Happy Wednesday friends!

Sentimental blog post for you this week as this weekend is my husband’s birthday! I wanted to share some of my favorite memories with him and celebrate him on this space.

I’m sure I’ve shared before but we have been together over 10 years and I’m so grateful for the relationship and partner I have in him. Travis is the most caring and sweet man! I never thought when I was younger that I would find someone so amazing and loving, it didn’t seem realistic. He more so found me and knew right away, I needed more convincing, but once I realized it was game over. He was it!

I’m so happy to celebrate another birthday with him and cherish the memories and can’t wait for all that’s to come! Happy birthday babe!

Wedding Wednesday: Marriage Update

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

I’ll still be doing wedding Wednesday posts as we still have lots to talk about! I wanted to share some sneak peaks from our fabulous wedding photographer to go along with this weeks post!

We have been married almost 2 months now and even though it’s not long we’ve been together over 8 years total and this has only made us stronger! Marriage is truly a bond, building a life together supporting each other! There is definitely a learning curve when you get married and of course every couple is different! We have been working on the merging thing, figuring out how we will be handling finances and certain things together and bless Travis he married a pretty independent woman but again we are in this together and I’m thankful my man empowers me on all accounts!

We are now working on wrapping up thank you cards and printing wedding photos and I’ll definitely be sharing more photos and the videos once we received them!

Wedding Wednesday: Starting Christmas Traditions

Happy Wedding Wednesday Friends!

This is our last Christmas engaged and after 8 years together have yet to ever send a Christmas card out! I was determined this year to take Christmas card photos and send out a card! I love how every family has their own special holiday traditions and I wanted photos and a card to be one of ours. I think that once a year it is so important to get together dress up and take photos! Maybe it’s the blogger and photographer in me but I love photos and capturing moments! I think it’s super important and to print them too!

Anyway this year we started out tradition and took our first Christmas photos over at Rollins College, seriously one of the most beautiful places in Orlando! We went for more of a classic theme with simple black, white, and silver! I absolutely love architecture and greenery and this place encompassed that perfectly! We are sending out our cards this week from Minted and I already printed some photos for the apartment from Nation’s Photo Lab! Y’all print your photos and cherish the memories!

Happy 2 weeks till Christmas from the soon to be McGibbon’s xoxo

Engagement Story & Photos

Happy Wedding Wednesday!

I’m finally doing a post about our engagement and sharing our photos from our fabulous photographer Emma Anne Photo! Our engagement story goes a little something like this, on May 20, 2017 the day before Travis’s birthday I had planned a birthday dinner for him at one of his favorite restaurants, Kobe’s. We were going with our friends Chris and Mer and I suspected nothing as I was just focused on celebrating my guys birthday. We got to the restaurant enjoyed our dinner and then I told the waiter to bring the cake out for Travis and instead Travis got up and started giving the whole table of 10 people a speech about me and I just looked at Mer and was like he’s drunk what is he doing! Then I realized and he turns to me and asks for my hand and asked me to marry him! *All the ugly crying* Seriously I was so shocked and happy!

Fast forward we have been engaged almost 2 years and finally took our engagement photos a few weeks ago! Check them out below and I have some tips for taking your own engagement or couples photos as well that I highly suggest not just as a blogger but a photographer myself.

I definitley recommend picking your outfits in advance colors and patterns that compliment each other we had two outfit options so we did one fancier outfit and one casual. The nicer look I found a jewel tone dress from Lulu’s and Travis wore classic black pants and suit jacket with a white button down. The casual outfit I chose a casual dress and fun pink wedge heels and Travis jeans and a short sleeve button down. I recommend lashes either extensions for falsies and a little heavier makeup, this makes a huge difference on camera! Also i suggest getting a mani and pedi because it’s all in the details! The little things are important and are noticed!

Above all else have fun and enjoy taking your photos together! This is a celebration of the two of you and memories that you will hold forever! Importantly print your photos, frame them and enjoy them!
