Taking My Summer Uniform Into Fall

Happy Wednesday friends and happy September!

It’s so crazy to think we are already into September and getting ready for fall!

It’s still super hot here in Florida so I wanted to share one of my favorite summer uniforms and how I’m taking some of those pieces into fall as well.

Y’all know I love dresses and rompers for summer but I’ve also been loving a form fitting simple top with high waisted shorts. If you’ve been following along I’ve actually shared a few looks like this and they have become one of my go to looks. I usually change up the bag and the shoes depending on where I’m going.

How I’ve paired the outfit here with wedges and cute little bag makes it a great outfit for brunch or shopping, it’s a little more girly and cute. I also love the same pieces with sporty white sneakers and a cross body bag if I’m running errands or know I’ll be walking around. With that being said I’ll be taking several of these pieces into fall with me. The top, shoes, and bag would all be cute with a pair of jeans and a cute jacket or sweater for fall. I’m working on building up my wardrobe basics so that outfit pairing is easier and little more classic.

The shorts, wedges and bag are all from LC Lauren Conrad and let me tell you the shorts I’ve bought in the other colors as well and love them for all sizes. I sized up for a looser fit and love how practical they are. The top is from Loft and again I’ve been buying some great basic tops from Loft, Macy’s and LC Lauren Conrad and they have really worked in my wardrobe for meeting clients, running errands, and everything in between. I just love that they are a little more elevated than just a simple t-shirt.

What are you taking from your summer wardrobe into fall?

1 Year Self-Employed! We Made It!

Happy Wednesday, friends!

This week is another huge milestone and one that probably means the most to me!

Today is the one year anniversary of me leaving my 9-5 office job to pursue my dream of working for myself. This is something I never thought would be possible and just a dream that I would talk about but never truly pursue. To leave the comfort of a consistent paycheck is the scariest thing I’ve probably ever done to be honest!

2020 taught us a lot of things and there were a lot of things that accumulated to help me make that decision to leave. I thought if not now then when? When would I take the leap and bet on myself? So after everything we went through in 2020 I got the push I needed and just did it!

It helps that I had the support of my husband and my business coach and my friends and family but I knew even some of them thought I was a little crazy, but here we are 1 year later and I wouldn’t give this rollercoaster up for anything!

No the journey hasn’t been easy AT ALL but all the blood, sweat, and tears have been worth it and will continue to be worth it as I continue to build my brand and my business! I’m blessed that I can work from anywhere at any time. I’m grateful that this year so far I’ve been able to take mental health days when needed and a 7 day vacation with my family without worrying about using all my PTO or what I’m going to come back to once the trip is over. I’m so happy I can have lunch with my dad or take the day off when my mom has the day off, all things I couldn’t do before. I now have the FREEDOM to live a life that I want and am proud of!

I have a long way to go but in the one year I’ve come so far! I make more than I did at my full time job, I live a life that I create and even though it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done I’m so proud I took this step instead of just talking about it the rest of my life! In this first year I also built a course to help other women like myself build a blog that they could monetize whether for a hobby or make it a career! If you want this to be your narrative too sign up for my waitlist HERE to be the first to know when my course is coming back!

I can’t thank y’all enough for being there for me on this ride! It’s just the beginning and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us, because I’m taking y’all with me!

Photo Tips & Resources for Blogging and Instagram

Happy Wednesday, friends!

This week here on the blog I wanted to talk about some photo tips and resources that will help any of you content creators out there. Whether you take photos just for social media or use photography on your blog as well or for your business I have some things you could try!

First off having a consistent photo style as a content creator is key. For example whether I have my photographer take my photos or I take them myself they are always in the light and bright style. To achieve this myself I use my own presets which I love when I can’t work with my photographer. You can actually use these presets yourself as well! You can grab them HERE and start using them to better your photos!

Another resource that will help you elevate your photos is my E-book where I discuss how to figure out what content to shoot, how to figure out your style, my process, how to find a photographer that’s right for you, movement and posing and so much more! This resource is for you whether you work with a professional photographer or self shoot your photos! It comes with bonus items and actionable steps and will elevate your photo game! You can grab it HERE and start improving your photos today!

If you have any photo questions let me know in the comments!

Creating A Dream Blog You Can Monetize

Happy Wednesday friends!

Thank you so much to those of you that I’ve seen sign up for my blogging course waitlist! I really appreciate it!

I’m working on some updates in the course and am so excited to reveal it and open the doors to y’all! This course is a labor of love. When I started my blog almost 5 years ago it was HARD WORK! It was not easy to figure out and there wasn’t a course out there that walked you through how to create a blog and the fundamentals of blogging and how it could benefit you. I spent hours upon hours researching and trying to find the answers I thought why not create a course that could help other women create that dream blog that they could actually monetize? That how Building A Blog You Can Monetize came to be!

I would love to answer any questions you might have about the course and how it could benefit you and your business! Be sure to sign up for the waitlist HERE!

The Benefits of Blogging

Happy Wednesday friends!

Let’s talk blogging and all the benefits that blogging offers!

So many people don’t realize that blogging has tons of benefits when it comes to brand partnerships and your audience.

First off it’s so important to have a website/blog if you are an influencer or even a small business because if you are growing an audience on social media you also need a platform you own: your website. This will help reach more people and house everything for your brand where people can always find it. What if something happens to your social media? Then what? You need something that you actually own and control.

Having a blog will also help if you are an influencer and looking to expand your brand partnership offerings by offering blog posts along with social media posts. This is a great tool to help as brands love having blog posts to corelate with social media posts.

My Summer Essentials

It’s officially summer, so what better way to kick off my favorite season than to share my summer essentials!

I have so many favorites but to name a few: I absolutely love the Tula sunscreen I use it everyday and love that it is a gel like consistency which looks great with or without makeup! Next up Old Navy sandals the ones pictured are my favorites, I have them in every color and they are a staple for me! The next things hats and dresses from LC Lauren Conrad. Now it’s no secret that LC Lauren Conrad pieces are my absolute favorites but in the summer time I wear tons of dresses and love them paired with a hat and hers are my favorites! Fourth thing has to be Tarte Cosmetics the brand makes up a lot of my makeup bag and their blush and mascara are a must not matter if I’m doing a full face or just a 5 minute face. Finally a swimsuit from Artesands, their pieces are curve friendly and the most support cute suits ever! They are an investment but worth it!

I have some travel scheduled and you better believe all these things are coming with me! What are some of your summer essentials? Let me know!

How To Instantly Save Time On Social Media

Happy Wednesday friends!

I wanted to share a common theme I’ve found while talking to several people lately. When it comes to social media they say they are constantly wasting time. I get it! We are all on social media a lot of the time whether you are checking you Instagram or sharing something on Facebook a lot of us use social media every single day! That being said for those of you that specifically use social media for your business, hobby, or anything of the sort it’s easy to get caught up and not be intentional with your posting and waste time.

Over the last year I’ve come up with my own system that has saved me tons of time when it comes to posting on social media and showing up for my audience and you can do that too! Especially if you are just starting out and can’t outsource your social media yet, these tools with help you save time and show up the best way you can for your people!

10 Things To Do Before You Start A Blog

Happy Wednesday friend!

Let’s talk blogging and where to even start when creating a blog. Over the last few weeks I’ve gotten a lot of questions about how to even start blogging and what steps to take once you’ve decided to build a blog.

You’re in luck I’ve been blogging almost five years and when I first started there was nothing out there that gave me the exact steps to take to start building that blog. I went through tons of frustrations and late nights trying to make it all come together for myself. After going though all that I decided to create a checklist for women looking to start a blog that would give them the steps they need to really get started with that! This was a passion project for me as I didn’t have a resource like this so I made one for YOU! This checklist will give you the ten things you need to do before you start a blog and will help set you up for blogging success!

I’m offering this complimentary resource to you in hopes that it will take all the questions out of the process and help guide you on the path of building your blog!
